Living a life by faith is humbling. You have to say, "I can't do this on my own" everyday.

The Art of Cleaning

I figured out the art of cleaning. Let someone else do it.

My sister, Krista, and nephew Aedan came yesterday and I love it! I don't get to see my family much since I am the only one here in Fort Wayne. Any time I get to spend with them is precious.

Krista is doing an Arbonne party tonight because she is trying to start up her business. I told her I would do a party for her but I am still not able to get around much....hence my house is not the cleanest. She is such a blessing. She is in my kitchen now and I hear dishes rattling, the faucet running and smell all kinds of freshness bursting out of there! I love it! She is the bestest!

Ok... lemme pause here to say that I really do have the greatest family. I love that my dad and mom taught us how to take care of others growing up. I mean, for me, it's just natural to let someone crash on my couch, cook meals, go an extra mile (or 10) and just serve whatever way I can. That is totally my mom and dad. They rock. I see that in my sisters and brother too. I thank God soooooo much for such a cool family.

So Krista is cleaning, I will be cooking soon, Hilda will be snoozin' or snuggling, and Aedan... well, he's just gonna be cute.

Oh! By the way! The stitches are out on my right foot and MAN-O-MAN!!!! ... that was horrible!! (see... wuss.) Next week they will hopefully take the stitches out of my left foot because we are praying that the infection goes away!!

Skype!

I think I am a big fan of technology. (heehee!)

I love that I can talk to my sisters/brother-in-laws/cutie nephews in Florida and Wisconsin and visit with my mom and dad in Chicago -- all from the comfort of my couch. ...I mean, it's not the same thing as holding Cai and Aeden, or hugging my sisters, or laughing with my family but, as long as I am hours upon hours away.... it will do. ....oh... my sister is ringing in... gotta go!!

Away with the stitches!

I had foot surgery... or should I say feet surgery a couple of weeks ago and have been practically 'couch bound'... or 'recliner bound' since then. I've gone out a couple of times but paid the price! :) (I mean, come on... you can only sit on your couch for so long!!!)

Today, the stitches are coming out. I am a total wuss when it comes to pain so here's hopin' I make it through!!! Oh man... I'm gonna cry like a little girl! I just know it.... what a wuss....

So it begins...

So I decided to blog for a couple of reasons.

First and foremost because I hate journaling but I don't mind typing... go figure. I want to use this as a time where I reflect on what I am learning, think about situations and just record things that go on in my life. Much of it will be from my morning devotions with Jesus but some of it will be just from the daily ins and outs.

Second, third, fourth and so on... I started to blog a while ago but I don't remember what the blog site was and since this is connected to gmail (gmail rocks!!), I think I will do better remembering it. A couple of my friends do this and I thought it was interesting to listen to their thoughts about things. Sometimes I just need to talk about it. ...and finally, when I write a book, I'm gonna use this stuff! :) LOL

I chose TRAVELING THIS ROAD as my blog title because I think, as cliche' as it sounds, life is totally a road that we are goin' down. We all have different vehicles as some time or another, we travel in different ways, with different baggage and with different people.

I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
